Chanteur, steel guitar, compositeur et preneur de son Country US, né Jack Henderson Clement, le 5 avril 1931 à Memphis (Tennessee). Jack Clement a débuté en 1951 au sein des "Tennessee Troupers", puis il passe dans les "Dixie Ramblers" de Slim Wallace. Engagé à la Sun Records de Memphis (Tennessee) comme preneur de son, Jack a enregistré Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis et Johnny Cash. Il fait un premier enregistrement en solo chez Sun en 1958, mais Jack préférait son travail d'ingénieur du son. Il commença ça carrière en 1957 pour SUN Records ou il auditionna les hits suivants IT'LL BE ME repris par Jerry Lee LEWIS et BALLAD OF A TEENAGE QUEEN repris par Johnny CASH première session le 22 janvier 1958 quatre morceaux ensuite deuxième sessions le 17 février ou il enregistre également quatre autres titres parmi lesquels TEN YEARS s'en suivront YOUR LOVER BOY-WRONG et THE BLACK HAIRED MAN
