Johnny's appearance that Friday night at the Frontier Room (Trenton, New Jersey) was a few weeks after he recorded the Bitter Tears album. The following Monday June 1st, he taped an appearance on the Tonight Show. Several weeks later, John met up with Bob Dylan at the Newport Jazz Festival.
