Jerry Lee Lewis writing memoir

Jerry Lee Lewis is writing a memoir.

The piano-playing wildman, whose Nashville-based country recordings are as emotionally riveting as
his rock sides, will tell his story for a book slated for 2012 publication by HarperCollins imprint It
Books.

In a statement released through It Books, Lewis said, "People can read it, burn it, or never give it
another thought. Either way, the truth is about to be told, and I'm the only man still standing who
can touch it."

Lewis' entry into the music business came in the 1950s, when now-Nashvillian Cowboy Jack Clement
recorded him at Sun Studios in Memphis.
