Contacts & Booking E-mail: bobbyvain@alice.itThe band was formed in 1995 in Milano (Italy) and has performed as "Howlin' Lou and the Starliters" at many European rock'n'roll meetings, including The Silvester Shodown in Gunzburg (Germany), Jitterbug Records Festival in Hannover (Germany) and rockabilly meetings in Barcelona (Spain) and Bourges (France). In October 1996 they issued their first 10 inch for Tail Records.
In 1998 Frank (lead guitar) joined the band and the original guitar player switched to lead vocals. The name of the band was changed to the Starliters. In 1999 they recorded their first EP for Favourite Records "Feelin' like a Star" and their second 10 inch "Pickin'up Speed" for Tail Records.
In 2001 the Starlited recorded new 7 inch "Honky Tonk Guitar Child" for the Japanese label On the Hill. The same year after the gig at the Hemsby Rock'n'Roll Weekender in May, the guitar player Frank quit the band and the Starliters becomes a 4 pieces outfit. In August during their Swedish tour they recorded a new CD "Lightin' the Stars" for Tail Records, with the extra contribution of a guitar player and the Swedish piano player Boppin' Steve.
One year later the drummer Corrado quit the band and Frank D (once with the Hi-tone Trio) take his place.
More than ten years the Starliters have been touring Europe, playing at the Rockabilly Rave, Hemsby Rock'n'Roll Weekender, Rhythm Riot and many others big festivals! And they always have a great success!!!
