DOCUMENTARY ON THE CAREER OF WANDA JACKSON

A New York City Production firm, KPI, and an independent film producer from L A, Joanne Fish, have followed Wanda and her husband Wendell Goodman from Hollywood to Helsinki.They have filmed her concerts, recording sessions, traveling, and interviewing a great # of people, fans, and Stars for a Feature Length, HD Documentary that is in the final editing now. The Smithsonian has sponsored the Film and will have The World Premier at The Smithsonian in August,2007. They will start airing it on Television on their SPECIAL CHANNEL in September. It's called "THE NICE LADY WITH A NASTY VOICE."
It will have it's Film Festival Premier at THE DEAD CENTER FILM FESTIVAL IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, Wednesday, June 6th through Sunday, June 10th. The screenings will be Thursday June 7th at 5:30pm at the HARKINS THEATER SCREEN 4 (BRICKTOWN), and Saturday, June 9th at 7:30pm at the HARKINS, SCREEN 4.
Wanda is doing a three week tour of Australia in June; following the tour, she is joining Little Richard in Paris, France to celebrate the opening of a new exibit "The Roots of Rock & Roll." When she leaves Oklahoma City May 26th, 2007 to fly to L A and then on west to Australia, then June 17th on west to Paris, France, and then June 22nd on west to Oklahoma City, she will have traveled literally Around the World.
