For sure, here is no possibility to download for free or to share mp3. Those black jewels carries the sound of the 50’s and can be played by DJ’s, if they still had turntables, without any fees. Nothing to do with the rascal business that will kill internet radio and, here, performers are still ready to send sample copies. They need exposure and know since long than DJ’s are the key to the way of success. If you can have your stuff played radio, either waves or internet, you sure will not make it. The Rock’n’Roll bang was set by radio DJ’s like Alan Freed, Biff Collie, Tom Perryman, Bill Randle or Jocko. If they were still around playin’ music, they probably will fight for Internet radio. What do you think about it, Mister Bill Mack? But let’s get back to that great 45 rpm’s recorded by Randy Rich and The Poor Boys. It was pressed in Nashville by United Record Pressing on the same machines as used in the 1950's. They did a fantastic job, and so we can proudly say, the band never sounded better than on this release who offers two new compositions. The A-Side “Hillbilly Cat” is in the SUN Records tradition and sound like a hot Kenny Parchman 50’s cut. The lyrics are a tribute to Elvis and there’s a real Jackson’s (TN) feel here with piano and sharp guitar licks. The flipside gives you a beautiful country ballad that will bring your lost love back. Them old friend Red Martin played some amazing steel guitar on that song who remember me about Jimmy and Johnny Hillbilly recordings done for “Decca” in 1956. There’s also a little bit of Charlie Feathers or Carl Perkins on them prime recordings for” Flip”.Both songs were recorded in Germany at Emerald Studios on vintage recording material and sound like 50’s cuts. The single is on “Emerald” label and believe me they prove Emerald worth more than Diamonds.Founder and guitar player Randy lived and played in England and the US before he reunioned his German band Randy Rich and the Poor Boys. The trio originally was formed in 1997, he brought his line-up together again in September 2003.The combo now’s better than ever. All of the three members are able to play minimum two instruments. And so even in a trio they can create the different styles from 50`s Country to Rockabilly and Rock`n`Roll. The boys play well-known songs, obscure late 50`s songs, instrumentals and original material. It’s also worth to mention the professional harmony singing.Altogether about 300 titles big with over 50 songs originals is the repertoire of Randy Rich and the Poor Boys. The trio toured 13 countries of Europe and 20 states of the US and made a big bunch of fans. Heights are performances in Hemsby, England and Las Vegas, US. 1999 the first EP was published on Part Records which was sold out inner one year. Different songs have also been published on many compilations. And recently the first long player was issued on Rhythm Bomb Records. The musicians` skills made it possible to back up Rockabilly legends as Jack Earls, Glenn Honeycutt (Sun Records), Virginia Rockabilly Queen Janis Martin (RCA) and “Westport’ though cat Alvis Wayne. On their gigs you will be impressed of the musician’s love to the music and the care given to the detail. Original instruments, microphones amplifiers and authentic clothes are the outfit of the trio. But the most important thing is the music that is as lively as over 50 years ago! You can make yourself sure of it on one of their shows. So don’t miss it!!So, here you had the real meat and it should be the perfect record to pay tribute to Elvis on his 30th passing anniversary. So, if you want to taste the sound of the 50’s and get back to the “pink and black days” you can buy them record and visit the following web sites:www.randyrich.dewww.bartemon.netwith Glenn Honeycutt
