| Wanda Jackson’s new album, produced by Justin Townes Earle, due in October
Posted on July 11, 2012 by Dave Paulson ==> HERE The party still ain't over for Wanda Jackson. The rockabilly queen will release her 31st studio album, "Unfinished Business," on October 7 - the same month she turns 75. The Music City-made album was produced by Nashville native Justin Townes Earle, and marks the rising Americana star's producing debut. "From day one I really liked Justin's idea to take me back to my roots and make a record of country, blues, and rockabilly songs," Jackson told Rolling Stone. Among the album's cuts are a cover of Woody Guthrie's "California Stars," and duet with Earle on “Am I Even A Memory” by Nashville's Greg Garing. "Business" is the follow-up to Jackson's acclaimed 2011 album, "The Party Ain't Over," which was produced by Jack White. Jackson resides in Oklahoma City, but will return to Middle Tennessee to perform at the Franklin Theatre on July 28. Tickets are on sale now at www.franklintheatre.com. | |
