Posted on October 24, 2011 by Cindy Watts Rockabilly star Wanda Jackson is set to perform at the grand opening of new venue Marathon Music Works,
located at 1402 Clinton Street in Marathon Village, at 8 p.m. Nov. 19.
The event is open to the participants of the club’s “name your venue” contest that owners held earlier this
year giving local music fans a chance to chose the space’s moniker. Everyone who submitted options or voted
on the winning name will receive free tickets to the show. A small number of tickets will be made available to
the public on the venue’s website in November.
Aside from Jackson, other artists scheduled to play Marathon Music Works include Warren Haynes Band on
Nov. 15 and O.A.R. on Feb. 17.
