Wanda Jackson, others honored with lifetime achievement awards

The Americana Music Association announced Wanda Jackson, John Mellencamp, Luke Lewis,
Greg Leisz and Brian Ahern will receive the organization’s lifetime achievement awards during
the AMA’s 2010 Honors & Awards show, set for September 9 at Ryman Auditorium.

Jackson is honored in the performance category, Mellencamp earning recognition for songwriting.
Lewis is recognized for his career as an industry-leading executive, Leisz for his instrumental
work and Ahern for his producing and engineering.

Jim Lauderdale will host the Honors & Awards show, and Buddy Miller will lead the house band.

The ceremony will also feature visits from Rodney Crowell, Rosanne Cash, Patty Griffin, Sam Bush,
Will Kimbrough and the Avett Brothers, among others.
