Chanteur US né David Luke Myrick, le 20 juin 1916 à Mena (Arkansas). Texas T. Tyler fut élevé au Texas d'où son nom. T. Texas Tyler was a long time hillbilly recording artist and entertainer. He had a band that was called the "Oklahoma Melody Boys. He appeared in many major venues such as New York's Carnegie Hall, and numerous appearances on WSM's Grand Ole Opry. He is often associated with one of the most classic of hillbilly recitation tunes from 1948 called "Deck of Cards" about a serviceman caught in a church service with a 'deck of cards' and having to explain himself or face dire consequences. A classic recording if ever there was one. He also had the nickname of "The Man with The Million Friends".
