Our club members come from all over the globe and everyone who shares our passion is welcome to join us.
We publish a quarterly magazine called the “Big Beat of the '50s" which pays tribute to all genres of roots music that were the forerunners to rock'n'roll.
Our magazine also includes articles about present day artists who have their roots in the old sounds. Annual membership with ARRAS includes four issues of the “Big Beat of the ‘50s” magazine, posted to your address.
ARRAS also presents a weekly radio show called “Shake, Rattle and Roll” which is broadcast every Saturday night between 8 PM – 9.30 PM (AEST).

AUSTRALIAN ROOTS AND ROCKIN' MUSIC DIRECTORY:
The Australian Rock'n'Roll Appreciation Society is now collecting information from our local bands to form a database which will be printed in our club magazine, the Big Beat of the '50s.
The information we collect will appear in our magazine as a contact directory and will be entitled the Pink And Black Pages.
There is no fee being charged for a listing in the Pink And Black Pages however the style of music you perform must relate to the music styles that are represented by the Australian Rock'n'Roll Appreciation Society.
Those styles include the genres and sub-genres that were performed in Western culture between 1945 – 1965,
and also includes any contemporary music which has been obviously influenced by music from that specific era.
Your information in the Pink And Black Pages will be grouped under a separate heading for each state of Australia.
Band or artist names will be presented in alphabetical order under each state heading.
